ABOUT US
Forestal del Sur S.A. is a Chilean Company founded in 1988 in order to supply woodchips and pulp logs for the pulp and paper industry in Japan, China and the Chilean domestic market.
AREAS
Our activities are concentrated in Concepción (Bío Bío Region), Valdivia (Los Ríos Region) and Puerto Montt (Los Lagos Region). The headquarter is located in Santiago.
CONCEPCIÓN
Concepción Area is located 500 Kms south of Santiago and concentrates the major of the forestry industry in Chile. For over 37 years Forestal del Sur S.A. exports woodchips and supplies the domestic market.

Puerto Montt Area is located 1,000 Kms south of Santiago. Forestal del Sur S.A. exports about 200,000 BDMT per year through Calbuco port and will start exporting woodchips through Chincui port in 2026

BOSQUES LOS LAGOS SpA
Bosques Los Lagos SpA (BLL) is the continuation company of Forestal Los Lagos that was created in 1988 by Forestal del Sur. Lead by Mr. Andrés Edwards and a fully qualified team of professionals.
Today, Bosques Los Lagos is a joint venture between an American investment fund (80%) and the major shareholders of Forestal del Sur (20%).
BLL is a forestry and industrial company dedicated to the establishment of Eucalyptus globulus and nitens plantations, as well as the industrial processing of its own and market-sourced forest pulpwood into wood chips. These chips are sold on the international market for pulp production.
The company’s industrial plant is located at Chincui port, in Puerto Montt, while its forests are situated in the Llanquihue and Osorno, in the Los Lagos Region of Chile.
BLL maintains a strong commitment to the protection of various forests and has submitted its forestry operations to evaluation by an independent certification body, based on FSC® Forest Management Standards.
BLL’s Forest Management Program provides for the sustainable development of forest product production from environmental, social, and economic perspectives, under the principles and criteria of the Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC) for responsible forest management.

FORESTAL ATLÁNTICO SUR S.A.
Forestal Atlántico Sur S.A. is a Uruguayan forestry company, owned 50% by Forestal del Sur and the other 50% by local partners.
FAS is a leading provider of forestry services, which specializes in the production and marketing of raw materials. FAS supplies from Uruguay veneer logs to China and woodchips and pulp logs to Europe and China.
Forestal Atlántico Sur’s chipping facilities are next to Montevideo port, and it can process 360,000 BDMT per year.
At present, as a result of this professional reliability and fulfillment of commitments which has been built by the partners over many years, FAS is considered to be a reliable provider, one with which it is safe to enter into long and medium-term commercial agreements.
